Global warming is exacerbating political instability as tensions brought on by food insecurity rise. With research suggesting the issue can only get worse we examine the risks around the world.

This is the lowest projection of the 2100 temperature increase resulting from the combined national emissions targets (INDCs) 2015.

​​It includes conditional targets (on other countries' matching targets or on assistance in the case of the least developed and most vulnerable countries).

The more realistic projection is 3.5C by 2100 (Climate Interactive)​.
